What is financial coaching?
Financial coaching helps you on the path to financial well-being by exploring what you think, feel, and believe about money along with the objective reality of your financial situation. It’s about helping your head and your heart onto the same page with money. The process is unique every time, and there are some common pathways often explored. Financial coaching might involve any or all of the following:
- Conversations about what money means to you.
- Between session exercises to explore your beliefs about money and where they came from.
- Between session exercises to explore your life aspirations and authentic goals.
- Learning a new cash flow management system and working together to build a spending plan.
- Using a software program to create a debt pay-off plan.
- Setting financial goals and creating plans to achieve them.
- Creating new ways of interacting with money and with your partner around money.
- Learning about financial topics you are interested in.
